Newb with questions

Hi there fellow Corolla owners,I'm obviously new here and I own a 1989 Corolla GTS FWD model. I have a couple of questions...

First of all I have a problem with my corolla... it runs fine but when i'm at a stop light I often encounter a problem.. the RPMs will drop and my car will start to die.. I can save it but when I stop and turn off the car it won't start back up for a couple of hours.. any idea what could be the problem??

And second I would like to get a good intake but I can't find any made for the car.. are there any out there??

I would suggest new spark plugs and wires i have encountered this problem before and this is what it normally was. Also check to make sure you have a good strong ground wire running from your batt to the car.

might also be the ignition control module. When it heats up it goes into TILT and when it cools down after few hours, it works again.

could also be the fuel pump, clogged fuel filter/injectors, really dirty air filter, could be alot of things. Just check everything

Then have it checked by a mechanic, things don't get fixed on their own.

Welcome to TN man.

Get it running properly first, then bother with mods.

No, but my dad seems to think it has something to do with the fuel filter or fuel pump but I really just don't know
