AE92 195 or 205 on a 15x6.5 light weight rim

The title says it all... I'm wondering if anyone knows whether a 205 width or a 195 width tire is better for the 15x6.4 40offset Konig Heliums that I ordered?

This is for the AE92 GTS

40 offset might be very close to rubbing the inside, AE92s come with 38 offset from factory.

Go with 195/50-15 tires, 205s are wider but also a tad taller. I run 195/55-15s and they're pretty much the same height as 205/50s, my tires are pretty wobbly at times, but I run these because they're not as harsh a ride as the 50series would be. Run 50s if you're not concerned about ride harshness.

if the 205 has a rim protector that will rub off on the inside rear.

if you stay on the street go with the 205's Thats what i use for DD on the track i use 195's since & rubbing isnt That big of an issue.. Even with the 205's i barely rub lol you have to be going in a complete circle & steering all the way in one direction for my car to rub

explain "wobbly".... And with 195's will i still be able to take tight on-ramps and off ramps at 40mph still ^_^.

I'm running 205/40/zr17's right now... shouldn't the 195/50/15's be a LOT smoother than those?

As i was asking before.. what's the best for fast cornering as well as everday daily driving =] (I'm a preety agressive driver )

I had 205/50/15's on my levin, and now that I've gone back to 195s I've noticed an increase handling. The car changes direction quicker, and has more "feeling" when on the limit.

On a 6.5 rim go for 195's.

got my 195 50 r15's Kumho Escta AST's (they were on sale =p) on my 15x6.5's konig heliums now and they ride SMOOOTH ^_^ It's GREAT to not rub hahah best feeling in the world and steering is a LOT easier (no P/S) =] Handling is great! The sidewalls are a bit softer than my nitto neogens but the tires DO hold to the ground like glue and don't let go unless i want them to =]

pics up later =]

PLUS... i thot my CV joints were bad or my struts as they were clicking before.. magically... they're gone now.

NOW
Rim: 10.9 lbs
Tire: 18 lbs
Total uninflated: 28.9 lbs

Before
Rim: 18 lbs
Tire: more than 21 lb
total uninflated: 38... or more lbs

Trust me... it Does make a difference as lots of unsprung weight = BAD

By wobbly I mean that you can feel the extra height as opposed to the 50 series, they have more sidewall travel and feel more lose.
