AE92 Intake

So last night I ordered a short ram intake from cosmoracing.com and it's on the way!
I just wanted to know if there are any special precautions I need to know about when installing? And was this intake worth the money?

Only thing I can think of is don't yank on hoses too hard, there's really not much going through that area other than hoses and some sensor wiring.

It's not a bad deal for the Cosmo intake, the only thing I don't like about it is that they use the cheaper filters, I'd say get a Fujita, K&N or any other well known filter brand. Their filters still work fine so it's up to you if you want to upgrade it or not.

I might order one of these myself.

Good to hear I didn't get ripped off! I think i'll use their filter for now because i'm broke and can't afford a $50 filter.. Is the piping bigger than stock or the same size?

Are there any other good mods for under $100 that could add a little bit more power?

Not sure, probably about the same size as stock.

I don't recall anything else under $100, everything else seems to be over that range.

Well, that sucks for a broke highschool student with no job like me =[

I've been looking at the Fujitsubo exhaust to replace my rice muffler, is there anyway to modify it to fit the FF GTS models? I know they're expensive but when I get a job a new exhaust will be the first thing I look at.

is http://www.cosmoracing.com/productin...id=126&pid=213 what you're getting?

You might need to relocate your battery to fit that in. All I could fit is a fujita cone straight from the MAF.

No, I got this: http://www.cosmoracing.com/productin...id=126&pid=307

Even though it says RWD AE86 it looks like it will still fit because the 2nd picture down is the same engine bay as my car and it fits with the battery in.

You paid $59 for that? You could've found something similar at a local parts store for like half the price.

I heard minimum wage in Florida is quite low compared to California. Shouldnt be hard to find a part-time job as a high schooler at some fast food joint. Good luck w/ your car Mugen!

It does say 1984-1991 4AGE on the page, it's the same one I was thinking of getting.

And no, you can't really put together the same thing by going to a parts store, if you can then give us some links.

hmmm wow, does that part even make a difference?... it's just a replacement for the rubber tube that goes from the MAF to the tb. Why don't you just invest in a better filter.
