in-dash 6 disk changer

Hi, i just bought a 2007 corolla LE. Obviously the 6 disk changer in it (factory) doesn't play mp3's. I'd like to either somehow connect an ipod to the car (not with a fm transmitter), or put an mp3 stereo somewhere else in the dash (without removing the 6 dish changer). The car's brand new so i don't want to do it myself and void the warranty. Do you know approximately how much it would cost to have a toyota dealer do this for me?

Thanks

The connector should be a plug that goes into the rear of the headunit. If you are able to take apart some panels and unscrew some bolts it shouldn't be an issue.

I posted about this same thing a couple days ago. It does not play mp3's, and the manual says it doesn't play cd-r's. That isn't entirely true. If you burn a cd with mp3's, but tell the burning software to make an AUDIO cd, it burns the mp3's into .cda files. That WILL play on the stock stereo. It certainly isn't 200 songs worth like if it were mp3 format, but 12-15 songs X 6 cd's....I think I can live with that. I just tested the theory not 10 minz ago and it works as advertised.

Good luck,
ss4f
