I"m new, and have a couple questions...

Hi, i'm justin, i dont' drive a toyota, but my gf does.

she has a 97 Corolla, and has a few small problems, and was wondering if you guys could help me out...

1. Drivers side Headlight bracket is broken, so i've had to zip-tie it to the Rad support
2. Passenger side manual window roller has broken, so you have to roll up the window with the roller thing, but it wont stay on.
3. the grill is broken
4. When trying to start the car, weather or not the engine is cold, or hot, takes two or more cranks to start.
5. Trunk release lever.

and

6. wondering if there is a horn wiring diagram somewhere, so i could fix that

i was wondering if you could point in me a good direction as to where to get these items, any help would be greatfully appreciated. thanks.

-Justin

1. Junkyard
2. Junkyard
3. Junkyard
4. Could be fuel pump, ignitor, bad plugs, take it to a mechanic who could be able to pinpoint the problem
4. Junkyard
6. Haven't seen one, but google might be able to find one online somewhere.

If you're not willing to get dirty, you should avoid the working on cars. They are a mess, all of them, not just the pick n pull places. If you're not decently mechanically inclined or have someone with you that's mechanically inclined, leave it alone. Last thing you need is to take it apart and not know where stuff goes.

If you want diagrams and where parts go, procedures, etc get a car repair manual.

To add on to Ren's answers

1) Leave it or replace it, it working.
2) Replace it
3) Replace it
4) Weak Starter, New plugs and sparkplug wires, possibly new battery
5) Replace it

Item 4 could also be that the fuel pressure is dissipating when the car is shut off and so it takes a moment for the fuel pump to re-pressurize the system. Try turning the ignition on without cranking and listen to the fuel pump. Let it pump for a fwe seconds (it should stop) and then crank the starter to see if it starts right away as it will now have full fuel pressure providing the pump is working the way it should. My wife's car has this problem. Standard starting procedure has become to turn on the ignition, wait a few seconds, and then crank it.
