97 rolla trans issue? plz help

hey guys, hope someone can help. I have a 97 corolla with 195,000 miles. after the car has sat unused for a few hours and i pull away, it seems to either skip 2nd gear or shift to soon as it is hard to accelerate...once it gets to maybe the correct speed it accels fine. It dont rev up rpms, shift hard, or whined out. just dont wanna increase speed quickly. only does it one time then fine from then on out.
problem two, at a dead stop if i mash the gas the car will jerk and lundge a couple times before getting up and going soundly.it happens fast as the car is moving.
other then a starter at 100,000 miles car has been problem free. Other then the two issues at normal driving car is super quiet and runs smooth. just the cold start issue and mash the gas at a light issue.
hope it aint a transmission issue?
the fluid is a light brown and plan to change this week, hope its just that.

please help, single parent and only car and no money to fix.

change your fluids, do a tune up (cap, rotor, plugs, maybe wires if they look tired, etc) you could be in need of one by now if you haven't got one done.
