ke70/ae71 corollas?

hey guys, i reckon im gonna sell the all track, but i wanna get another corolla and learn to drift it. id love an ae86, but they're too damn expensive due to the "takumi tax" and this got me on the idea of a ke70 or an ae71. i heard they have the same chassis as an ae86, is this true? would they be a suitable car to learn in?

AE7* is the better of the two, over here they come with a 3a (about 80hp) so they're no rocketship and they have a weaker gearbox and diff than an AE86. But a 4age bolts pretty easy.

KE's are cool too, just even more underpowered.

Not really a good car to learn to drift in (IMO), need a fair bit of money poured into them to get any decent performance/handling. Definatly not the cheap option that many think they are.

Well over here an S13/S14 is a nice cheap option, probably not where you are though.

Go to a drifting event and ask around, the local boys will know the best car to start off in.

yea s13s are plentyful, but are pretty expensive down here. most go 4 around $10,000 aud. i think checking out the local drift scene would b a pretty good idea. dont get me wrong, the alltrak can be pretty fun with handbrake initiated drifts, but i want something a bit more predictable, and responsive handling wise.
