A buddy of mine got a shop to do this on his 03 Corolla S, it looked sort off OK, but why bother if it's going to rob you of power instead of adding it.
Like someone said before, unless you got an extra 2-4 Cylindes (aka V6 or V8) you don't need a dual exhausts.
You could however have one muffler splitting up into two long pipes that come out to each side, it wouldn't be a real double-exhaust though.
something with the concept that you can have too wide of exhaust piping and it allegedly rob power. too wide of tubing and the small amount of exhaust will cool too much on its way out and will lose energy and momentum and slow down in the exhaust pipes, restricting flow and losing hp. however bigger engines create larger volumes of exhaust and actually would benefit from a larger exhaust size than you would with a small 4 banger
which is why Piloter mentioned using tiny piping for a dual exhaust
ah but people who mod cars for a living and have shops also say it robs power, so it's kind of mixed. Guys who put headers and a 2 + inch exhaust on the stock 4age's complain about it seeming slower.
What the duel exhaust stuff comes from is V engines... since they have exhaust ports on both sides of the engine bay, 4 banger duel exhausts came after.
It's also commonly said no back pressure blows headgaskets.
What size are the pipes on the kompressor?
The other benifit to 2 tiny pipes over 1 big one would be easier to tuck under the car if you lowered it and wanted that extra bit of room
Its possible, but its going to cost you 2x more..I got my estimate for the 07 duel single head for about $450..they didn't say lose of power..and they've been in the business for decades...
