Are you putting in place of your cat or going to use it as a muffler? I'm confused on which your going for, a REALLY FREE FLOWING CAT, or unique looking muffler lol

Putting it in place of the cat to use as a muffler. Therefor I'll have the cat underneath the car, but instead of it being a cat it will be a muffler and the guy who inspects the car wont fail it due to lack of a catalytic converter. (must install one if you add a turbocharger on post 1987 cars)
aha... very sneeky... so what happenes when they actually check the emissions? and doesn't the ae92 already have a cat? why not just modify the existing one?

ah, here in Canada ae92's all have cats, even if they are N/A. It's a fine here if you don't have one. mom's friend was telling me he put a hockey stick through the ones he had on his Transam lol

Well the emissions dont change, they still are 3.5% CO and 600 PPM HC. And no our AE92's dont have cats, they only started getting cats with EFI in 90-91.
