1992 Corolla A/C

The a/c in my car went out and i found out a little later that it would work if i hit a bump with my left front tire. Can anybody explain this to me? When the a/c is working it cool great but any other time it is horrible.

Hahaha don't worry he's not telling you to get an enema, here is the itchy-speak translation: "Your solenoid might need a little cleaning"

Ok I tried to do that but I couldn't find where the solenoid is in the Chilton's manual and I really don't understand how i am supposed to hit the clutch when there really isn't that much room. Do I need to jack the car up or something? I think I am totally retarded.
