I need help ... please ...

First of all I would like to start by saying that.... I'm french so I do apologize in advance .

I own a 2000 Corolla and I've been running through this problem for a couple of months now. I'll try to explain it the best that I can....

Alright ... when I step on the gas really fast it looks like the engine wants to die and then it Revs’ really high ... It sounds like there is a sensor not reading properly. I don't want to bring it to the dealership because they charge like $76/hr and most of the time they can't find the problem within an hour ... So I’m counting on your "expertise" to help me out on this one.

Thanks

I changed them last year ... Iridium NGK spark plug ...

I did read a little bit on the internet and it might be the MAF (Mass Air Flow). What do you think?

Check...

Inspect the Throttle Position Sensor.....it might be a faulty throttle postion sensor or throttle position sensor circuit....

Regarding the MAF, I have to look into it...

Try a different dealer, most of them give free estimates on the type of work needed before starting.

Try calling around and post your results here.

Phatroyal -- I just found that one of my friend own a ODBII reader that he can plug into his laptop ... but I don't think that it will do me any good just for the fact that I don't have any CEL on . But I will certainly start checking around to see
