Outside temp -E or -30 in summer

I recently changed out my tachometerless instrament panel for one with a tach. Everything works fine except for the outside tempurature. Is there a way to calibrate it or do I need to go back to the junkyard and get the temp sensor? If so where on the car is the sensor located? Thanks.

Check if you have the temp sensor. It looks like a plastic probe (similar to IAT sensor in your airbox but NOT THE SAME), mounted pointing down on the vertical pillar just ahead of your rad, behind your bumper - hood latch is mounted at top of that pillar. If you don't have it, go get it.

The harness was in place, the guy at the junk yard gave me the little sensor and now I have the outside temp, thanks.
