What oil to use?

I usually use 5W-30 in my 01 corolla, but I recently saw a bulletin that toyota certified use for 0W-20 (not 100%).

I was wondering if a different type of oil would be better for me? (not a synthetic VS dyno)

what is the difference in oil weight?

I typed "oil" into the search engine and nothing that helped came up.

Stay with 5W-30. Your wallet will thank you.

Changing Oil

Stay with what you are using...switching motor oil from one to another is bad!! The brand I use is Pennzoil!

Here is some GOOD reading:

No its not... however 0W-20 is thin as shit, Its good for fuel consumption, because theres very little resistance on it because its very thin, however I dont think its going to protect the bearings that well either.

Overpriced and hyped crap. If it holds the newest norms its good, price isnt that relevant.

Yeah, the GC is great oil. You can safely go 7K miles with it.

I just put castrol GTX 5W-30 in like I normally do.

I did however do something different.

I got a oil filter wrench, and I loved using it! lol
I have problems getting my filters off.
