Radiator

So just a question, my radiator isn't really in good condition..it's looking greenish..you know the way they start turning greenish after a long time, and I was wondering if that's a sign that it needs replacing or what..my AC isn't that amazing, like it doesn't cool all that well. Would replacing the entire radiator cost me a lot? It's a 93 Corolla LE if that helps. Also another question that might seem kinda stupid, I'm a newb when it comes to cars, but the overflow thingybob connected to the radiator, is that supposed to be full of the red liquid in the radiator? Like it fluctuates between the Full indicator, and half an inch or so below that..that's just an estimate. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Cosmetics isn't as big a deal as cooling ability and integrity. What you're looking at is the overflow reservoir that holds the spare coolant that's not currently being used in the system, the fact that it stays more or less full (yes, this will vary with temperature) is a pretty good indication that you don't have any leaks. As for cooling ability, as long as your temp gauge doesn't hang in the red, your radiator's still doing its job.

The AC is a completely different issue. You probably just need a recharge--this is easy enough to do at home if you can find a refill kit that includes hoses and a pressure gauge at your local auto parts store. They cost around $40 USD and should be dirt-simple to use.
