Question 2-speed engine fan?

94 1.6 liter. When temp is 80+, driving 60 MPH or over, in the sun, (weird) the temp gauge will start creeping up. I have to turn off the A/C to get it to come down, and if it's 90+ sometimes have to turn on the heat to get it to come down. Never happens at night. Just changed the stat and flushed and filled. Fans come on like normal. Question: do these have a 2-speed fan and how can I check to see if it's going to the high speed? Or it may be radiator time.

At high speed the fan will have little to no effect on air flow (think about how fast you drive through the air.)

Double check you have the correct themostat, have no airlocks, and that the radiator isn't blocked.
Something isn't working properly.

Also, Check your coolant/coolant level. make sure you have no air bubbles in the coolant system.

Another thing to check is your AC fan. It's the one on the front of the radiator assembly. It moves several times the amount of air as the normal engine fan when it kicks on, and can be noticably heard at idle. You will hear a very loud fan, and feel a rush of hot air if your foot is outside the door. If this fails to turn on, it could contribute to overheating.
