Door ajar light

This light stays on and is draining the battery. I've taking the button on the drivers door off (the only one that works) and tried grounding the wire to the body and it still won't shut off. I've tried removing fuses and it stays on. I would think it has to be fused somewhere Anyone know where?

Probably with all the interior lighting, you're better off just removing the light OR getting a new switch for it (the one on the door)

I had that problem with my car in which the interior light would stay on all the time because the switch would not work anymore and the system thought the door was open, the button switch was replaced and it worked. Now I keep all my lights on off all the time anyways, so why not just switch the interior light to OFF?

I was going to say, grounding the wire is going to have opposite effect you wanted, it'll keep light ON all the time. The switch works by grounding the wire to turn on! You probably have short somewhere along the wire thats grounding & turning the light on.
