M3 Mirrors problem

Ive bought some of those M3 mirrors the ones with LED's in them. These are manual not powered. Anyway i had to replace the wires three times beacause they were burnt up or something. The wires were looking like melted plastic so i figured they were burnt. On the third time, they worked for like 3 weeks or so.
I am so fed up with those i havent hooked them up again manily beacause i dont know how or why there being burnt up. I have put 14 gauge wire in them and they still dont work. Anyone else have those M3 mirrors in there car and are still working? Any info would be very helpful.

Where are you running the wires? Any chance there is a spot that keeps getting knicked/stripped?
