the 98s were a totally different model compared to the 94s (93-97 were the same) it may or may not fit, I can't recall if anyone has done this before.

Talking about 98 shortshifter, I still haven't received mine, order was placed more than 2 months ago with a local dealer. drz4agecorolla I suggest you just make your own.

EDIT: ... and only came in this morning. (Aug 7)

Quickshifter is here!

After 2 months wait, here's my TRD quickshifter:

drz4agecorolla: The label says Corolla 92-99 so my guess to your question is yes.

94_rolla_guy: The dimensions you wanted:

From bottom of ball to tip of shift cable pivot: 85mm
From center of shift lever ball to center of select cable pivot: 43mm
select cable lever pivot point to select cable, center to center: 78mm
Select cable travel from center to extremes: 25mm

The TRD shift knob is part of the kit.

yeah but the problem with those knobs is the coating rubs off after awhile, see if there is a treatment to protect it

What dealer did you goto?

Do you know if they take orders for TRD Japan parts too?

I've been searching forever to find one in Toronto that can source these parts without much luck

It's the rear defogger switch.

A suitably loaded CE or S or a VE with touring package would also get you cruise control.

The shifter cost me C$210 plus tax.

The throw is shorter, but sometimes I have trouble shifting into 1 or 2. Could be a tranny thing. Next I guess is to replace the shifter bushing on tranny end with roller blade bearings
