I'm not a big fan of the step-pyramid boot. Would it be too much of a hassle to change to a leather boot? Thanks for your help.

I guess not too hard. Leather boots can be had in big auto stores for about $25 so I haven't put much thought into that. Leather boot isn't a priority for me.
