Something died!

And I don't mean something mechanical either!

I have a '94 Geo Prizm, and it's my second car. As a result, I don't drive it every day. It seems as though something had been living somewhere in my car, and crawled in the vents to die...

So the car smells UNBEARABLE now. The smell is the worst by the passenger side vent, and I don't smell anything under the hood. I'd like to pull the air box below the glovebox to check it out. Is that a really involved thing to do? Do I have to pull the whole dashboard out of the car? I haven't really looked at it much yet because of the smell. Tomorrow I plan on looking into it and trying to get into that box.

Any tips/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks a bunch.

Someone a while back had the same problem, there was a dead rodent in his vent going to the blower...Those critters crawl in to keep warm, I was just checking around my engine the other day and found a whole ear of corn eaten...lol...

It's also possible as Final Gear said you might have hit something or ran over road kill and some of it stuck somewhere in your wheel surround or under body...Good luck and let us know what it was
