Question celica supra rims over supra rims??

everytime i surf this brd, or club4ag i always see folks using the celica supra rims (82-85) 14"x7. but why dont pepo get the supra rims(85-86)?? is it cause of the rarity? does it not fit? its a 15" you can find lots of cheap tyres for it.! its soo common !

another question is, do the two wheels look the same? or are there differences? are there also fitment issues? the bolt pattern still the same 4x114.3. hows the hub size?

thnx in advance !!

Good question.

I have a set of Supra Celica rims myself. I got them because they looked better then my snowflakes and they were wider as well.

I'm not sure how 15" rims would be on a Corolla GT-S. With my stock rims after you get 4 people in my car it looks like it is lowered. If I had 15"s It would probably be rubbing the wells. For me 14"s are big enough and I don't really see much of a need to go bigger. Also mind you my supras are my race only wheels due to the fact that they are lighter and wider thyan the stock wheels making them better for performance.

I have 15"s + Lowering Springs on my 86 for years and I never had any rubbing problems.....

voodoo: you match the overall diameter, if i run 15" its gonna be a 195/50/15 where as if i got a 14 it would be a 195/60/14 so the width is that same. and the OD is the same. rubbing would not occur. with an upgrade in wheel side the overall size does not increase.

like you said, I think the 15's are just hard to find. The 14's are wider though so maybe that's why some people run them. I picked up my 14's from a junkyard for $150, that's my reason
