2 dead cylinders... Need help

I'm working on a 91 Corolla with the internal coil on the distribtor. The car is running on Cylinders 1 and 2, but Cylinders 3 and 4 are completely dead. There is air spark and fuel being delivered. I did a simple paper test for compression on cyl 3 and 4 and there is at least some compression. I'm getting an actual compression gauge to test it later tonight for some hard numbers. But my question to you is, if compression is fine in all 4 cylinders, what else would cause two dead cylinders? Any ideas would be of great help. Thanks for your ideas!!!!

if there is not enough compression it will not fire properly you may have a leak or something

If it is adjacent cylinders that are low in compression good chance that the head gasket is bad. Very unusual for rings in two cylinders to go bad at the same time.
