AE92 What?
SR5, Sedan have the same suspension setup while the GTS has a different front setup..

Well, I would definetly recommend you swap both the struts and springs to get the best results. If you install aftermarket lowering springs on factory struts you will cut the life of the factory struts short because they're not designed to handle lowering springs..

Now, the prefernce of the setup totally depends on you, what kind of ride are you looking for? Stiff, moderate, comfortable with good cornering?

I have a 1990 (AE92) SR5 which has the exact same setup as the Sedan of that model, I have TOCKIKO struts on the rear and KYB GR2's on the front with APEX 1.6" drop all around.. I also installed a strut bar on the fron and I have 205/40/16 tires.. The car handles great with the setup I have, but it's not as comfortable on the road and the car is a bit on the stiff side but I love it..

This post was concerning Camrys, so I don't know about availability for your car with these parts, but it's the only post I can think of right offhand that discusses brands.

Plus, I know nothing about Corollas Just trying to help.

For my setup, I ended up paying about $900 CA. You can get 4 KYB's and APEX springs for about $600-$700 maybe! But I bought the TOCKICOs for the rear and they cost me...

For a softer ride you could go for the adjustable Tokico Illuminas.
Then just dial them up when you want to go fast around corners, etc. But they also cost more. Tokico also has their own version
of spring, shocks and strut kits for Corollas.

They run about $175/ea for the fronts and $152/ea for the rears.

i dont tihnk that they make the tokico whites for the ae92...

anyhow...most of us ae92'ers are running apexi springs and kyb agx or tokico blue struts here.

the apexi springs have a decent spring rate(pretty even front and back...approx 5.5kgmm all around) and lower the car a claimed 1.6....altho it seems more than that(maybe they sag?!?!).

struts will run u about 400 and springs will run u about 300... install them urself and u save some $ there.

Hey guys, I have a AE92 sedan and I too am looking for something to replace my struts and springs, my problem is largely extreme body roll, so much so that the tires waer excessively on the outsides, I don't want to sacrifice comfort since it's a daily driving car, can you suggest some good OEM replacements that will make the ride a little stiffer, not lower and not harsh, I am on a budget, so if you could recommend a reasonable place to shop online, that would be great, so far tirerack.com is the only place i've found.

Thanks in advance.

If your car has fairly high mileage and has original suspension, replacing the shocks and/or springs with fresh toyota parts will help out alot.

I'm running on KYB GR2's plus 1.7 inch drop APEX springs.. very nice handling and a bit of a stiff ride.. word of advice though.. change your OEM strut mounts.. I gotta do mine already.. they lasted less than a year with the stiffer stuff... but then again they were the original ones.

Like Xenon.. I ended up paying about $900 for my setup with installation and alignment.

Espelir springs and Bilstein shocks over here.
By the way, a question.... how many of you with a suspension kit have klunk in the RIGHT side rear shock?
