Ebay headlights install (AE102)

Hi, my friend has a 95 Corolla DX and he recently bought some JDM replica headlights off of advancedjdmparts.com that look like this:
http://www.advancedjdmparts.com/imag...roductid=16337
Now he wants me to help him install it. I know that the USDM corolla uses 9006/9005 bulbs with separate high/low beam. But these probably use H4h or something along the lines of that. What would be the best way to wire them up keeping the highbeams? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The Ebay headlights I have still use the 9005/9006, although they're a different style.

I believe there are H4 harnesses that plug into a 9005/9006 socket, though.

On closer inspection, those have holes for both bulbs. I can see the shroud over the bulb opening for the low beam and the opening for the high beam separately. Your friend should be fine.

There shouldn't be a 194 in the main reflector portion, the 194s go in the side markers. This generation of Corolla doesn't have DRL...it sure looks like an opening for the 9006 bulb to protrude through, but I could be wrong.

I have those lights, albeit the ones that are all silver on the inside.

You will NOT be able to plug them directly into the factory wires (even with adapter) since H4 bulbs have a common ground. On that model corolla, the low beams are ground switched, while the highs are 12v+ switched (or the other way around, i dont remember which.)

What I did was connect the factory wires to 2 $5 relays from autozone, one for low, one for high, so that both the high and low beams were now 12v+ switched like they need to be. This also allowed me to give the headlights a dedicated connection to the battery, which results in more consistant light, and headroom for high wattage in the future.

Thanks for your help, I found a diagram on how to do this. Its exactly what you did. The headlights should be coming in tomorrow.

btw, do you have any pictures?
