Australia Viabration felt in steering wheel when turning

Hi All my name is Chris and I am the proud owner of a 1997 AE111 BZR Toyota Corolla Levin. Recently I have been getting a viabration that is audible and can be felt through my steering wheel. It happens when doing a U turn in either direction when the wheel starts to spin back in the opposite direction. When you start to accellerate in the turn there is a viabration with a vrrrrrrrrrrr type noise but this dissapears when the wheel is back at the straight ahead position. I was just wondering in anyone has had this problem or a similar problem. ANy help would be greatly appreciated!!

it could me your cv joint. now another question when does it happen. does it happen when you turn right or left. because if its when you turn right it can be your transmission bearing on the front drivers side or the cv joint on the front drivers side. if its when you turn left its deffinately your cv joint on the passenger front.

Question

Put the front end on jack stands.... start the engine put it in gear, have some one turn the front wheels with the front wheels in the air, while you check the parts...

It happens when I turn from hard lock in either direction. It only happens when the car is under accelleration. It does not happen at the straight ahead position. Also to the person that posted the information about the transmison bearing. Did you have to replace one in your car and if you did was it very diffucult?? Thanks heaps for all of the feedback guys you are all top blokes and it is all greatly appreciated!! Any other info on my problem would also be most welcomed.
