Corolla Computer Problems

Anyone,


I have a 2006 Corolla 13,000 miles, year old.

I though I had Transmission problems ! !

It turns out my COMPUTER went bad..


Has this happened to anyone else?

what can go wrong with the computer?

if anything does go worng with it, shouldn't you be able to reset it via unplugging the battery for a few hours be enough to bring it back to factory computer specs?

i have a 2005 corolla s an i did have that same problem i only had about 20k miles and i thought it was the tramission problem but it was exactly what you said a computer problem. and well i did some research and they said 04+ corollas were manufactured by another coumpany but hte engine parts are all made by toyota but the electrical parts are made by a different company and so when i brought my car to the dealer they said the same exact thing and well i didnt get my car until 2 weeks later. for you was it like a sudden jolt in switching gears????
