I got my ae92 gts last february.....i didn't even know that they were popular. I just needed a car that got good gas mileage to drive 20 miles to work everyday

The 'rents got a slightly used AE86 Wagon around 89 or so, they were in love with that car, never a problem, until a jackass in a Jeep ran a red, totaled the car, and drove away from the scene. Huge bummer. To replace it they got what I'm driving now, the 1991 AE92 Sedan, 191,806 miles and going strong, so I am the original owner of sorts.

I got my AE92 as a hand me down car from my dad. It was my first choice when it went on sale here in the PH but i was too young to get a license back then so it became a dad's car at first. When I was old enough toget a license, that is the time I started to use the car but I just started restoring it last year. it came with the original 4AF engine but I blew it twice. The first time I blew it, the mechanic said we could still revive the engine but the next time I did it, I decided to get the 5AF motor since I didn;t have the money yet to get a 4AGE 20V. Now i'm just waiting for the engine to go bye-bye and i'm off to my fave shop and get that silvertop that i have been wanting for 2 years now.

anyway, it's nice to see new names (at least for me) here in the forum.
