What design of header (no S), what diameter and design of exhaust? I would say tune it and call it a day. You can go FI but you did make this post so no comment on that.
what design header? i have no idea, they're just some OBX headers off ebay, and its a 2.5" piping all the way through N1 style exhaust. i just want to no if there are any cheap alternatives to making my car faster, because money is an issue...
I'd go with maybe building / buying a hood scoop, which I did myself by the way, and maybe the hp chip might work, I really don't think it works but people say it does. Maybe changing from regular oil to full synthetic ....
BEfore switchign oils, check mileage. Higher mileage cars tend to have small holes in oil system/lines that conventional oil cannot pass through, synthetic however, can.
You should definitely think about removing weight. All it takes is time and know-how.
If you have a sound system in your trunk or back seat, then you should get rid of it. They weigh a few pounds and are so easy to drive without.
I would not buy a carbon fiber hood. They are kind of expensive and somebody will probably steal it. Get fiberglass. It's lighter than steel, and cheaper than carbon fiber.
