Looking for recommendations of cheap reliable vendors for Toyo Parts. I need things like Ignition wires for a '98 Corolla. Pep Boys sells the wires for $40ish (I forget the exact amount) but they are very flimsy/thin.
i know of a place but they mainly deal with European cars and i have bought a few things for my rolla from them. give me the specs of your car and i can see what they can do.

don't ever buy the crap cheap ones.. you will be so freaking sorry. You can get 2 year warranty or even lifetime for $60 at places like Kragen, Autozone or other places. also look here www.partsamerica.com (Kragens website)
I bought inexpensive wires for my 99, exchanged them a year later and year after that bought ign wires from the dealer, I can wash the engine it fires right up no missing!
Dealer brake pads were also the best price for me.
Did buy an after market exhaust donut for 11$ compared to 52$ at the dealer.
got my ngk's at dvance for like $50. but as far as plugs if you really want a god plus bosch makes that iridium +4 tip plug. 4 igniton tips per plug and its iridium. they are around $17 per plug
stick with the NGK plugs. You cant go wrong there and i had nothing but problems when i had the Bosch plugs in my 93 325i. when i did the plugs in the 90 rolla i put in NGK Iridiums and love them

What you pay 4 is what you get.
not true sometimes the dealer is over priced such as with the ae92 sr5 cap and wires are around $110 - $120 where as the canadian tire ones are 40 ish and I find the Campion ones they carry are great for the purpose. Just like the toyota distributor is close to 1000 for my car, I won't pay those prices for stock parts when the car is already 18 years old!
Also btw I have pressure washed my engine twice since then also no problems.

Agreed the dealer can by over priced. But as stated in he post "in my case", after market wires from CTC only lasted a year, any wetness outside and the car would miss fire, I could not pressure wash the engine with after market wires that were less that a year old, so for 99.00$ wires from the dealer fixed that problem. In the case of the exhaust gasket got the after market one (52 vs 11 $).
