1994 corolla wagon ecm question

Hi all,

I have a 1994 corolla wagon that needs an ECM. Problem is that mine doesn't have an EGR
valve and the ECM I got from the salvage yard is set up for an EGR valve and now I have
a check engine light on because the "new" ECM is looking for the nonexistant EGR valve.
Okay, I found one on Ebay for $49.00 that has all the same numbers that I have on my original ECM. My question is: If all the numbers match my unit, does that mean it is also
set up for a non EGR engine?
