did you verify if the speedo cable is correctly connected (on the speedo itself and on the transmission)

Where is it? what does it look like?

When i am on the highway, it'll go from 0 to 110kmh under 1 sec...........and stay there until i slow my car down to about 20kmh.......... does that mean its a loose connection?

Determine if you have a cable or a speed sensor. Find the trans then the differential. Look for a cable about 3/8 inch in diameter running out the top of the differential or if a electric speed sensor there will be electrical wires running to a sensor on top of the diff.

Might be a bad shaft inside the cable, bad sensor or speedo problem. The speedo could be getting too great a signal input from the speed sensor, be damaged, etc.

If the car has an automatic is it shifting OK, if a cruise control is it working OK and holding a steady speed?

the sender is at the back of the transmission by the rear mount try taking the plug off cleaning it with electronics cleaner and reinstall with di-electric grease. My girl friends did this, and i fixed it worked perfect for the last 10,000km
