Shall I strut?

Hello all!
I am looking to get better cornering and stabiliziing my car with strut bars. I know there are front strut, that goes underneath hood and rear lower, that goes between rear wheels. I also have heard of ROLL CAGE but I'm not sure how expensive that is or if that helps, ...but Anywho....
Has anyone heard of a strut bar that goes somewhere inside the trunk, probably for upper? Or any other locations for strut bars?

FYI- This is for my 96 Rolla

One more thing! .... I hear some folks talking of having an e22 engine. How can I fing out what type mine is? or is that just another type of engine ,ei} ae101?

e22 what? not sure what you're talking about there.

Your Corolla comes with either a 4AFE motor if its a 1.6L or a 7AFE motor if its a 1.8L motor. Your car is an AE101 which is the chassis code for that year of Corolla.

From what I'm seeing here, your understanding of strut bars (and motors) comes from looking at Civics and Honda in general, most Toyotas don't have the rear bars between the wheels like Hondas do, don't get me wrong though there are sway bars, but the specific bar that you talk about is different. As for front strut bars, there are a few brands available for your car.

Check ebay to see what you can get for your car, just don't get ripped off.

Didn't think you needed a strut bar on a coupe on the top. What you can do is something you see alot of the 86 guys on dori kaze doing. They weld or bolt a piece a few of them have made to where the fold down seating is

it's the black one, looks like a triangle

Freak- I don't have a coupe. Not sure if you were referring to me or not.
Also I was wondering if you know someone that happens to have step-by-step instructions on the welding and placement?

im looking for a set of these also, in a sedan with a trunk vs the hatchback in the picture, it would be a wee bit harder to weld a brace in place, but it would be doable

check the link then go to your local speed shop and order it from them. Andy's has a complete list of what is available, but they don't have everything in stock and I am not happy with their customer service.

A rear strut tower brace is unlikely for our cars. It would have to run either between the back seat and the frame or instead of the back seat.

Front tower strut braces are easy to find, you could probably get a three-point one for an AE92 and improvise the mounting to the firewall. This would give best torsional rigidity. From experience, a front tower strut brace on a non-LE model will correct the oversteer and turn it to understeer.

Where do you get that bar that go all the way across the engine area, the one that says TRD on it?

You dont need a rear strut bar, the chassis does that already. Why add something that does nothing.

agreed. its not like the front tower braces where there's a gap that you need to fill with the strut bar.

though i still want the fender brace..
