I am planning to keep the car, 1 year or so, but need to be solid... do I need to weld or I can do it with glass fiber+bondo ??
What can this cost if I ask a bodyshop ??
Thats the same problem I have with my ae92 sedan, both sides of the rear strut towers are rotten. I was going to weld patches in them I would not recommend bondo, but in reality if you do use it you'll be alright.
No you wont be alright, thats a structural part of the frame. your SUSPENSION mounts to those. Now when they rust out, eventualyl, your suspension will snap them off and KABOOM you're dead when the rear gets wild.
Think twice about doing stupid shit onto your car.
Actually yes he will be alright. He says he wants to keep the car for another year or so, even two years, there is no way ever that the rust will spread up tp the strut tower and corrode it away to the point of breaking in that time peroid. Its not that close to the top of the tower either. My car is worse than that and my car is lowered, has sway bars and gets driven hard often, no problems. Also that looks to be a wagon so most likely this guys back and forth to work commuter. I'm not saying drive it till the wheels fall off (or suspension gives through) but in the short term get your use out of it.
to temporarly fix that i would suggest fiberglass but, i would keep an eye on that closely, to do it properly cut out the rust and weld a patch in there thats the only proper way to fix it.
also i just noticed its on the frontside and backside of the strut tower, now i would suggest going and having it patched properly have metal welded in there.. im not gonna tell you fiberglass is safe to fix this because its not,

Welding is the best and safest way. Please don't cheap out with bondo and fiberglass because once you take a turn or when the weather changes (and force is applied) it will snap/crack and pop.

this is what I paid for the car...it is the only rust of the car...so I will probably do it...350$ is quiet a lot...around 6 or 7 hours of work...seems a bit long no
With the amount of work you're going to do with bondo and fiberglass, its alot more than just welding a patch with spots. Then again, you cant weld rust, so you'd have to cut/grind that out first.
I'm with above the above posts. If he used bondo or fiberglass as a temp fix, since he's only planning to keep the car a year, he should be fine... Just don't be cornering hard or anything. you'd have to take it easy since if you didn't you'd possibly have the bondo or fiberglass just crack, fiberglass would be the best of those two... I would although ultimatly say that the only proper way and safest way for you and everyone on the road around you is to get it welded!!

It was very well fixed, cutted+ welded on the 2 sides.
For your info, when you sell a car from a private party to another private party, there is no legal guaranty.
