Hey guys i have found a blue 95 eclipse with a nice sub and muffler and an AEM cool air intake and its in really good shape its 4,500 should i get it or stick with the toyota and i want to get lowering springs, muffler, and some new rims and a cool air intake but i cant find one ebay can anyone help
Just get the Eclipse. It's a faster car to begin with, there's a LOT more aftermarket parts to find, and as you seem (no offense) a little unwilling to either take advice from some of our veterans or learn about the relevant changes for yourself, you'll probably be happier with the Eclipse for your first project.

If your dad is paying for it...just be happy on what you get...I mean you got yourself set of wheels now.....
a muffler serves no purpose but to look like a ricer. and unless you do a full exhaust and headers its going to sound really rice as well. and save the money you would spend on a cold air intake and put it towards a new car if you want one. a cold air intake is not going to do anything for a stock engine. or an exhaust either. if you really want a cold air intake make one. just get a filter and some chrome tubing and clamps. it would be a lot cheaper.
hmmm depends... The corolla is a hell of a lot easier to work on when it breaks down because if memory serves me right the eagle talon and eclipse are the same car...
Heard nothing but horror stories about working on eagle talons... Having to pull the engine to even do a timing belt change, and we are not talking about amature mechanics. we are talking about guys who do this for a living and have worked on and some have owned
yea. a stock engine needs no more than stock exhaust. and a turbo'd engine really would prefer no exhaust. the quicker it can be gotten rid of the better for a turbo'd engine.
