will the wiring instructions for a 7afe celica work for my 7afe corolla when installing a safc2? i DO have the fsm in print here to reference, but its easier to just look at the pinouts from 6gc.net on their nice instrictions. i'd assume the pinouts between the fedspec 7afe's in the celica and corolla would be the same but i'm not sure. or if someone has a link to a set of instructions for the 7afe corolla?
Lol they aren't exactly the same, you would be better off with a wiring guide manual. I had to put in an SAFCII for mine and it was a bitch. I forget what I did though lmao, I'll check my ECU later and tell you what I did if noone has a guide.
Edit: Do not use a guide unless it's 100% your car. Also the 7AFE changed in '95, so you can't use that guide. And Apexi is a whore and doesn't have the 7AFE's engine guide.

i have a 93 and the guide is for the 94 celica, same engine, same pcm, should be the same pinout....i think. like i said i do have the FSM here to consult for my car.
ok, i got it all pinned out except my rpm signal. i see on the pinout for my pcm that theres a crank angle high and crank angle low. which if it is those 2 do i use?
Yea, I tried to use the one from 6gc but it wasn't a match. I'd love to help more but I completely forgot what I did.
doh! you and your forgetfullness have doomed us all, doooooooomed!
shucks, theres not much floating around on this topic either. if you do remember please please post it up. i think i have only one of 2 choices here, i just dont know which! or would it work to figure out which wire feeds the signal to my tach and splice that wire?!?
ok bud, see if you can remember if its the ignition failsafe input or the ignition signal? i did a little more looking and found a little more here, i think its between these 2. please advise!
Lol, what wires haven't you connected yet on the SAFCII? I'm gonna crack it open tomorrow in case you still need it, cause apprently I'm a dumbass and forgot to put in my turbo timer I have laying around. And then everyone can have it!
ok, i got it wired correctly finally! long story, stupid tired mistake! now im having a hard time with the setup of it. i think i have it set right but i must not since it wont start. can someone call me and help me through this part? these directions that come with it SUCK!
I'll call you again tomorrow and give you a step by step wiring because your phone keeps crapping out on me lol. You have almost everything hooked up it sounds like, so I'll call you tomorrow and tell you what I have.
i put the airflow signal wire back to stock and it started so it was something there somehow! also i'm seeing no rev on the safc2? i think i tapped the wrong thing for rev? let me know those 2 things, i am in your debt bud!
be careful because there were 2 versions of the 7a-fe the OBD1 and the OBD2 your talking about crank angle hi and lo your dealing with a 95.5-97 or OBD2 version, make sure your looking at the correct wiring diagrams. I had one in my OBD1 94 and it worked fine.
