Canada Replacing front speakers! Help

I have a 2002 Corolla and I'm trying to replace my stock speakers in the front. But when I removed the door panel, to my surprise the stock speaker bracket is rivited to the door. At least that what it looks like to me. Does anyone know of a way to get around drilling out the rivets and had anyone else come across this problem. My shop manual says they are supposed to be 3 bolts / screws holding it in. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had the same problem and there's no way around it, you have to drill the rivets out. The three bolts that the shop was talking about are probally for the rear speakers. For the fronts you will have to drill new holes but its not that bad.
