Unhappy Corolla 2000 Door Interior Molding Peels

I don't know if any 2000+ Corolla owner have this problem but my door interior molding is peeling. It's some sort of adhesive that stuck to the inside edge around the upper part of the door. It has been baking in hot sun and has became riddle and are peeling/flaking off. My friend's sister's corolla is having the same problem as well.

I am wondering if anyone know where I can order the part. Or how much it would cost if I go to dealer to get it.

Thanks and this forum is great!!!

Only the dealer can tell you that, prices vary from dealer to dealer, take a trip to your closest dealer and ask.

Well, after I abled to order the Windows Regular online and replaced it. I thought it would be possible to order that online for a better deal than dealer. I wonder if anyone has the same problem and fixed it themselves.

I just came back from Toyota Dealer. The guy came out and look at the part. He said it's just the Interior Trim. This is the price for it.

QTY BIN Part # Description Amount
1 411I 62314-02010-E0 TRIM, FR D 55.16
1 411I 62313-02030-E0 TRIM, FR D 55.16
1 306C2 62333-02020-E0 TRIM, RR D 54.32
1 306C2 62334-02010-E0 TRIM, RR D 54.32

TOTAL: 218.96

------------------------

These are just a couple of adhesive running trim along the top edge of the door. Poorly made by Toyota. I think that is rediculously high for such a simple part. I bought my windows regular + motor only for only $71 (Parts & Shipping Included).

If anyone, have any suggestion on where I can get a 3rd party replacement would be great.

Facing the same problem

I have a corolla 2000. And it has similar problems as mentioned by you. I would hate to be at the dealers (probably as my last stop). Did you figure out any third party site/vendor to get the moldings from ? if so, would you be able to share it.

Thanks

door trim peeling, backyard mech fix

Our 1998 Corolla passenger door interior molding began peeling last year, slowly getting more obvious through time.

Read the parts supply answer here, no way gonna pay that much for a stupid piece of vinyl molding. So I embarked on doing it myself!

Ok,,,, virtually nothing will glue this back in place, I've tried 3 adhesives, 1 of them industrial strength.

But the 4th try worked, and I suspect it will work for a good long time.

Folks, good ole Walmart brand cheapo super glue works just fine! You have to be persistent, have to hold each portion secure for a good 90 seconds or so, but it works.

cheers
