Flashman, whats the ultimate goal of going with sidedrafts? Do you expect to make some serious power or it is it just that you want a nice induction note? I'd be pretty interested in seeing how it all turns out, keep us posted.

Well my main goal is to replace the leaky stock carb thats causing all kind of problem with something that works. At the same time I'm expecting better response and maybe some power. I dont know if the induction noise is gonna be heard that well, because I'm considering running a single airbox so I can use my present airfilter system, plus I dont have to buy 4 k&n's or 4 pipercrosses.
Only problem is that I probably wont have vacuum advance in my distributor after this soo that might be a slight problem, but I'll see how it turns out. If its horrible, I can always get MSD

You installed these yet?
Being installed very soon Manifold is under construction
4 filters also cost alot more than just one that I already have.... so I might opt for one filter....Anyhow there will be airhorns inside the intake nevertheless.
Well further studies have shown, that the MSD ignition would work just as the centrifugal timing, but not as the vacuum timing of the distributor, so I most likely will have the ditch that and well... lose part of my powerband with it.
That's funny because when you mentioned Keihin before I looked up their site and as far as I could tell they only made carbs for bikes and watercraft and stuff (from what I remeber).
What was the displacement of the engine you got them from? What CFMs are these things flowing compared to your 4A-F Carb?
1100cc. Its not really the displacement thats the problem. Its the way they flow, I dont have any numbers, but calculating, any japanese bigbike should flow as much or more than a 4A-F. I mean a R6 is only 600cc, yet it has ~140hp at 18,000rpm which is ALOT more horsepower than a 4A-F and alot more flow. The 1100cc should be more than enough for my car. The 37mm keihin is larger than the intake ports on the head. So everything should go as planned
And yes they would definately flow more than the stock carb.
