Alright guys here is the run down i just found a 85 gt-s with 133,000 miles it is black and grey two-tone with lsd. I think it will be a great project car. The one problem i have is that it has been sitting for 3 years i bought the usual tune up bs rotor cap plug wires plugs , new battery...etc. just to help with getting it running. The question i have is it has a full tank of gas in it that is 3 years old ...i know this gas is bad but will it even crank the car and run bad just so i can see if it runs at all? I know i will probably have to drain the tank but should the bad gas get it to crank?

Siphon out the old gas gas if possible, it's the most practical way to deal with things. Even if you can't completely siphon all the gas out, siphon out as much as you can then fill up as much you can with fresh gas.

my car had been sitting for 9months and all I did was put in a bottle of STP gas treatment and idled the car for 15 minutes. I kept it under 100mph for the first 500 miles after that and tried not to hit any big bumps so I didn't snap the suspension, but for a car that wasn't used for three years, replacing oil and gas is a good idea.

Yeah the fuel filter might even be clogged. My buddy's donor RX7 had some nasty gunk in the gas tank. The fuel filter was gummed up too.
