Timing Belt 4-AFE

Hi everyone
I'm about to change my timing belt and I have a few questions for you all. First of all, to know if the engine is interference or not. Then, how many belts are they without the timing belt ? 2 ? I don't have A/C, so there is one for the power steering and one for the alternator ?

I also red that I have to remove an engine mount to raise a bit the engine. Do I have to jack the engine a lot or not, we're talking about what ... 10-15 degrees or more like 40 degrees ?

If you have tip, tricks, or things to check/make sure I would be very glad. I have already my timing belt, tensionner, and soon the other belts. Thanks guys for the help

I suppose the only way to know for sure that an engine is non-interference is to have one on an engine stand where you can turn the cam shaft and drive shaft independently and listen to see if anything is clanking together. Otherwise one must rely on word of mouth.
Based on both methods, the 4AFE is no-interference.

You won't have to jack it up to 40 deg. If can be very hard to remove the
bolt from the crankshaft pully since the pulley turns and it is difficult to hold the pulley still. I suggest that you use an impact wrench on that bolt.

To answer one of your questions - the 4AFE is definately non-interference.

To change the timing belt i would suggest getting a haynes or gregorys service manual as it is enough to get thru it. Fairly basic but will guide you thru what u need...
