Underbody Cleaning

What's a good way to clean the under body? Are those automated car washes that say "under body rust protection and cleaning" any good? I've taken a hose to it, but i'm sure not all areas are reached. I live in the midwest, salt and grime galore in the winter time

Goto one of those DIY car wash bays and bring some jack stands or ramps.
