for the first gen, the heads arent the same (the injector are screwed in the head) but the two heads still enough similar as many piece are compatible, i risk myself to say that nearly 89-90% of all the pieces of a 4A-FE and a 4A-F are interchangeable, the block and the head arent for sure thought (the 4A-F fuel pump is a mechanical one that is placed on the engine block so....)
for the second gen, thats another story, as only the pieces that will fit on the 1st gen will fit on the 4A-F, with the condition that between the 1st gen 4A-FE and the 4A-F the piece was already interchangeable, but since i do not know what pieces are compatible between the 2 gen of 4A-FE i wil not risk myself on that terrain

Injector places on the 4A-F are there, they just arent drilled open. Easy to get machined. Fuel pump hole is easy to block off with a block off plate.
Anything from the 2nd gen head is not compatible, neither is the lower end.
fuel pump, fuel lines probably(EFI function at a higher pression), injector, intake, fuel tank(im not sure about this one but since the EFI fuel pump is in the tank....), ether machined the head or get another head for the injector, ECU, ect.....you would be better by just changing the engine son.

Fuel lines have nothing to do with precision or did you mean pressure? Nevertheless they are very close 4A-FE has 8mm lines, 4A-F 6mm, material is the same. I replaced mine with plastic lines.
Getting injector bungs drilled in the head is easy.

even so that would convert the engine to 4a-fe ok so now would it be able to take the headers or catback or even cam gears and if it can why cant they be used by the 4af
