mass air flow sensor location

hi,
i'm new to the site. it's interesting and informative. i have a toyota corolla 2001-ce that had a problem with power, idling, and it seems like it's choking from lack of air. this happened before. i took it to the dealer, and they said it had dirt in mass air flow sensor. i'm trying to find out where this is located. can anybody tell me where this mass air flow sensor is located, so that i can find it and clean it up?
thanks.

thanks, this an excellent diagram. i see it on my car. i located it.
i have another question. i have one dead cylinder #4 that has a low compression (25psi).
the car doesn't burn oil (no blue smoke) but it loses oil, but no oil leaks. would the low compression be from the valves or piston/rings? can i just change the cylinder head?
thanks again.

I stumbled upon this thread. I have a question on this topic:
Anyone know which pin on the MAF Meter Connector is the pin which sends the 0.0 - 5.0 V pulse to the ECU. My corolla is 9th Gen? 03 LE
