Does anyone know how the fuel system works on a 99 corolla, start to finish. thanks?

There are more than a few here that do know how fuel delivery works, but don't feel like authoring several paragraphs on the start to finish operation. If you are looking to learn theory of operation, you're best off getting a book. Do you have a particular problem you are trying to solve?
