replacement parts after accident

my friend just got in an accident with a 1999 Corolla...
i'm familiar with boards like this but it's my first time on this particular one...
i wanted to know how much replacement parts would be...

the front right wheel hit a curb pretty hard while on a curve...
so the wheel was pushed more in towards the rest of the car... and more towards the back of the car... i dunno if that's a good explanation...
the car did more when we tried to drive it... but we could not go straigh because of a lobsided front right wheel... also, the tire rubbed in the fenderwell...

now my question is... what parts exactly need to be replaced in an accident like this... i'm guessing the axle and CV joints? is there anything else?

also, anyone know a cheap place near New Jersey or website that sells replacement windshields, bumpers (preferrably painted), steel wheels and stock hubs?

thanx in advance

P.S. anyone have a rough idea how much all these things would cost?

Re: replacement parts after accident

So is your friend intending to do the reapirs himself?

A front bumper for my 2001 (slightly different) was less than $200, but it comes primered only (plus you need the impact foam behind it) and to get the old one removed, new one painted and installed, the total cost was about $600-$700 dollars with everything. I just got that quoted the other week.
try www.carparts.com for random parts. Sounds like you will need tie-rods as well as a wheel and hub, maybe an anti-sway bar, maybe even axles. I would think everything attached to the wheel/hub should be inspected for possible replacement.

Even if your friend is doing this himself, he should get a quote (usually free) from a body shop and that way he will know what exactly needs to be replaced, plus the quote will have the prices for the Toyota parts and maybe even part #s.

Hope that helps

Chris
