I'm located in Markham, but I wouldn't mind meeting up for the signal event - being in brampton and all. I know a friend that wouldn't mind either.

I started a thread under Meetings and Events for the same reason. It would be nice to see all those AE86s all lined up in the parking lot......

its confirmed, the word is out, expect to see loads of idiots there doing burnouts, revving their engines, and *gasp* attempting to "drift"...

i overheard a conversation abou the Signal drift event today

highlights were...

"yo whos going to the importfest show?" <---yes they said ImportFest

"man, drifting is THE coolest thing!"

"hey have you tried drifting?" "yea haha we just did it for fun"

..and something about how awsome "japanese spec" cars were?

i was looking forward to this 2 months ago, now not anymore

^ it was never supposed to be some underground thing, I found out while walking around Ryerson, I saw a poster of the event. And besides, don't you see all the import magazines now?? they all feature "drifting" and "hachi roku's", drifting is the next big thing....

don't be so pessimistic.. this event HAS to be big for this to work in ontario.. they're flying cars and people from outside of the country just for this after all..

any of course, any time something gets big, there will be idiots.. just dont' be one of them.

I, for one, won't let a few potential idiots stop me from seeing some professional drifters do their thing or meeting people like MotoP.

if you want to see anything even remotely like this happen here ever again, go to the event and show your support..
