just remember, anything is possible if you have the money.....SR20's are dime a dozen, that's the inexpensive part....fabrication of everything else is what's killer.....

i think cutting and welding is pretty much standard fare when it comes to swapping in a motor that wasn't designed to fit the car in the first place.. just a matter of what fabrication needs to be done..

sr20det in an 86 eh? I would say go for it if you have the funds and if you know for sure you're gonna put up with it (time, money, problems..etc), also, the bigger motor would upset the balance of the car and the handling chars. I'd go for something like a 20v head and gze block with a turbo, I heard if was possible, just can't find the site right now.

u want turbo...turbo the 4ag.
swap in a gze so that u got the stronger internals and run a snail!

why swap in an engine that was never designed to be in the car in the first place? u are just asking for trouble.

i dont see why u'd want to swap the 4ag when there is so much aftermarket support for it. if u actually -think- about swapping in a DET, it means u roll in gold and sleep on cash...if that's the case, bring ur motor to richard white and do formula atlantic 4ag :p
