Hi Derek!!

Unfortunately, we're not doing Maniwaki. We'll go down to spectate if we can afford the weekend. We're still busy finishing off the car for March 2nd and 3rd in Richmond, Quebec. We're going to do the whole Sprint Rally season which includes Maniwaki but during the summer. Regional is still a long way for us now and we are just starting. Regional is quite expensive too! 400$ to register plus you need the whole service team, van and trailer, etc... It's a 1500$ weekend minimum!! We'll probably do 2 seasons in Sprint before even thinking of joining the Regional league. By that time, we should have the turbo installed on our 7a-ge which will be a major plus for competing in Regional. Sprint is inexpensive ans fun. It'll do for now! he he...

There's Richmond, Sanair, La Baie, Maniwaki and Lachute. You're very welcome to come to encourage us during an event that will accomodate you!!

I didn't get a chance to talk to Pascal tonight so I'll let you know tomorrow about Maniwaki.

See you and take care!

Hey Pat,
I hear ya, 400$ registration was hefty but we got 100$ of it back since all teams travelling more than 500kms to the event get refunds. We were lucky to borrow Karoly Toth's dual axle trailer but it was custom made so the MR2 just barely fit. Add a few hundred for gas to get there, plus racing gas if you need it, 2 nights at a motel for your crew, 3 meals x 2 days x ? people, plus whatever it costs to get your car ready for the event. Scrambling for tires, getting people and equipment ready 2 weeks before the event is cutting it close so I think you've made the smart move to run rally sprint first. You still break lots of stuff though, ever try ice racing? If we show up at Maniwaki this year, it'll be even better if you're spectating with us! Boring walking in the snow to get to your spot and watching with only 4 friends, I'll talk with the Polish guys this week.
