Just wondering if the driver of the boosted black hatch hangs out here. That car really smoked. The power was either on or off, but I could hear a BOV or was it the SC BPV?
After going through this website I realized I've seen another one of his creations, it's a small world
I wonder if the turbo stuff came from his old rally car, ie. manifold etc. ....probably since I don't how the hell he could have gotten it together so quick!
Well turbos in general are more on / off than superchargers. Its also relative to the size of the turbo, the bigger it is, the more lag and the more on/off it will be.

Well said, brother. And I also notice that your sig is totally accurate! It's cool how you covered your front rims with more brakedust than the rears! A fact that happens in real life all the time!!!
I had a chance to talk with Paul at the event. He said it took them roughly 2 days to slap everything together.
The engine is entirely stock, a bluetop with a 300zx unit from the junkyard, and all custom piping. They ran the pipes over the rad support to save time, easier to chop a hood than to chop a rad support to run pipes through.

Hehe, they must have been cutting it close!
That engine sure survived a serious beating, he was hitting the rev limiter constantly, that's encouraging. I think the bluetops are alot stronger than alot of people realize. A guy on the MR2 forum is running a 3rib in his SR5 at 13-14psi with a big t3/t4 hybrid, he's got a couple thousand miles on it, no probs, I thought it would have exploded long ago.
