i show my gf the black ae92 and say that it is so hype this and that, and she is like what is that hole doing in the hood cover. and I say, "that means there is big power hiding under the cover" and she is like, "no, that is just a hole and road garbage and leaves can get suck in the engine!"

hehehehehe

Referring to the black mysterious AE92, with all those TRD stickers, I'm starting to wonder if there is anything blown under that hood. Could very well be (and I'm almost sure it is) a fake.

i personally have never seen that thing around the Markham/Richmond Hill area.

but i do know of another 92 with similar hood only with a Levin front. and i think THAT has a GZE under the hood.

edit: just wondering rolla pat..how can u be so sure?

hey pat,. toronto is a weird place, cuz there are alot of supercharged ae92's running around, even a few 20v ones.. i have seen them and heard them with my own eyes and ears. just not that black one..

alot of the cantonese here have hook ups with engine importers not from Japan, but from hk, hence the levin conversions, but only on ae92's..

It's just an assumption. The AE92's I've personnally seen with hood scoops (in my life time)here in Quebec and some in Ontario at meets a while back (don't ask me when, how and who!) were all fakes. The only GZE in a Rolla I've seen here in Quebec are my friend Guy's AE92 (he has no scoop) and an AE86 rally car owned by another friend in Quebec. I didn't know that they were so many GZE AE92's and 20 valves in Toronto!

I was in T.O. last summer as a tourist. It was rainy the whole weekend. The only Rolla I saw was a black AE92 on the 401 as we were coming near downtown. Mind you it was pouring outside and it went by fast. So I couldn't make out who the driver was.

Anyways, we should meet up next summer as I am planning to come back down again! Would be nice to meet you guys! I'd love to see an AE92 with a 20 valve conversion!

Does anyone here (on the board) have an ae86 or 92 with a GZE or 20v conversion?

Thanks guys!
